Silly excuses from a bad photographer, Booster. Blame the film stock. HAHAHAHAHAAHA

TWO HINTS to double your detail and cclairity in your filmming:

NUMBER ONE: USE A TRIPOD. WHEN YOU FILM AT ANYTHING LESS THAN 125th THEN YOU CAN"T EXPECT SHARP IMAGES WITHOUT A TRIPOD. SUPER 8 CAMERAS FILM AT LESS THAN THAT> THINK ABOUT IT. MOST ARE ABOUT 1/60th. TOO LONG FOR SHARP HAND_HELD IMAGES!!!

NUMBER TWO: USE A PROPER F-STOP. TRY KEEPING IT AT 5.6 to 8. USE A LIGHT OR TWO IF YOU NEED TO.

following these basic methods of photography will increase the sharpness and detail of your photography by at least twice over what you are getting.

    BELIEVE IT OR NOT

PL, I will admit that I had only repeat what I had been told from other super 8 users.
Can anyone tell me if that info was wrong? I had been told the same thing from many different users.

But you are going a little to far making fun of someone when you have not post any pic of any film you have done. Post some pics and show me why the rest of us are wrong.
That is not ment to be a fight but I want you to teach me why they are wrong and show me some better pics.
    Thanks
    Anthony Collins

Yes, I have the PRO8 demo and my images are better than theirs - for the record.

Mr. Collins, i am only pointing out that this hobbiest

refuses to use even basic rules of good photography by his own admission.

and then posts blurry handheld underexposed image after image ad nausume! all over the internet.

and makes all sorts of assessments about what is good film and what is not. what are good cameras and what are not. if you want to talk about steering newbees wrong he is the champion.

this does nothing but harm to this little format's image

it is much better than he portrays it as. any person with even a cheap mediocre camera the Canon somebody mentioned can make much better images that 95% of what he puts up by just using a darn tripod and paying attention to a keeping a good f-stop

not that it matters to me so much but it is all pretty silly and when people put up hundreds of images and imagine to be building a knowledge base that is built on ignoring even basic techniques of good photography

mr. collins i have no interest in teaching you anything. but i do suggest you look over ms. boosters refusal to even use a tripod or set a basic f-stop other than wide open and automatic exposure for his photography and then consault any manual reference or book on proper technique!

i will not contribute anymore to this string. it is futile to repeat the obvious more than a few times.

OK Mr. Wiseguy who apparently never shot a S8 film ever.

This sample is a professionally shot PRO8mm Vision 200T, cam on a tripod, f5.6 and professionally Rank tranfered.
Not by me but by a professional motion gear supplier and is what you will get when you just drop in a V200 in a S8 camera, shooting using a tripod at f5.6. There is nothing wrong with the camera or cartridge or film.

Now, where is your image sharpness and what are YOU going to do to about this?

Ok, King Ghidorah, Paradise Lost, Reality Check or whoever you are next time:

Well, oh, I do have tripod or three and I use them too.

Guess they are way under your standards anyway.

Let's please be civil with each other at all times on the forum, please. OK? And I sure hope we don't have any more funny business going on here with user names and banned users.
